Pumpkinhead Pillows

These pumpkinheads were made by Jayne. They're newly listed in the Etsy shop and we're having a crafting frenzy making these. Having wayyyy too much fun with fall/Halloween ideas! Tell your friends and anyone you know looking for fresh new Halloween decor.

Another hat prototype - by Sarah

Here's another style I'm testing out. The embellishment is called a posie and this is my very first attempt at making one. It's layers of wool felt, pretty fabrics and a jeweled button.

Finished Hat. And some inspiration.

Here's my first birdie hat. The only thing I'll change next time is to use a darker thread for stitching the bird to the hat. Otherwise I love it! And it was easier than expected. Expect many more of these in the Etsy shop soon.

Current obsession: fabric. In particular, Michael Miller Carnival Bloom. LOVE this print.

Pillowcases and a Bib

Having fun sewing and spending time with the kids. We all had supper at the Prairie Schooner this evening. Yummy steak! The kids were very well behaved. The kids go back to MN tomorrow, boo-hoo.

Hat In Progress

It's Sarah here, posting from hot and muggy Minnesota.

I'll be contributing to the blog periodically - my knitted items will also be for sale in the Etsy shop. Here's a hat I'm creating for my friend Ingrid's daughter. She's the "guinea pig" so hopefully it turns out well. If so, I plan to sell these for fall. I'm using bulky Lamb's Pride hot pink and chocolate brown and will add a felt bird applique to add a little flair!

Stop back to the blog often for project and shop announcements. Since our shop is so new, help us grow by recommending us to friends and family. Thanks!

Bright Color Quilt Top

Gaylene (sis-in-law) asked for a quilt top from left-over fabric from Mollie's quilt. Her mom will quilt it. Gaylene is doing a booth at the Morgan County Fair and she is going to auction it for the Relay for Life. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Twirly Dresses on Etsy

My darling daughter-in-law Katie helped me list 2 darling little dresses on Etsy this evening. (After a few phone calls to Sarah!) I've been sewing up a storm making dresses for the babies and other friends kids, making some rag quilts and a few quilt tops. Also making some pajama pants for the boys out of Utah Jazz fabric. Hal, Katie and Sophia flew in from MN on Thursday afternoon for some fun here in UT. Hal has been here for a week and I will fly back to MN with him next Sunday. Beautiful weather today and yesterday. We went to the Dinosaur Park and Museum yesterday. It was so fun, I was very impressed. Hal and I continue to look for a home here in UT.
